Cystic Fibrosis Nowadays

Having Cystic Fibrosis used to mean shorter life span, with an average life span of 31 years. In the early 1900s, morality among afflicted infants and children was high. However, by the mid-1980s, more effective treatments (listed above) were developed and more than half of all victims of cystic fibrosis survived into adulthood. Now, it is the 21st century and technology has advanced tremendously. Thus, people with Cystic Fibrosis are able to find out more about this genetic mutation and find ways to cope with the problem.
